In this custom kitchen we eliminated the designated kitchen table area to double the working area. We added a table-height full length counter behind the dishwasher to accommodate 4 diner stools . By opening up the wall over the stove, we tied in the fireplace area with the informal bar/serving counter. The formal Dining area is to the left in first picture below.
