The challenge was to design and build a boathouse with little waterfront to work with. Working closely with the Ministry of Natural Resources, we proposed this structure on six 24" concrete piers. A marine railway was not practical, so we designed a rolling crane system with remote control that has been operating smoothly since 1995.
