We replaced the bath wood frame window which was leaking into the wall in this 7 year old house. We had to remove the tub anyway to fix the wall so we built a walk-in shower with a new vinyl window. We often use glass block to let in natural light but also gives some privacy and is a recognized masonry unit for moisture and structural situations.
