By finishing this basement we added approximately 500 square feet of recreation area to this small family home and increasing the living area by almost 30%. We underpinned the existing foundation walls and poured a new insulated concrete slab to create a comfortable, full height recreation/leisure area. We have done this several times especially in older homes where the ceiling clearance has been limited.
